The Plastic Set Screw for Positioning Global Table (GT) Assembly is made from thermoplastic material. The thermoplastic fasteners possess many advantages as compared to the traditional metallic fasteners such as better corrosion resistance and light weight. The screw is manufactured using high precision techniques which helps to achieve a good surface finish as well as good product consistency. The table assembly is used in PET Discovery 610 64-Slice, CT BrightSpeed Edge Select 8 – Slice, PET Discovery 600 8-Slice, CT Optima CT580W 16-Slice and many other products. The high dimensional stability of the screw ensures its perfect fit in the required position. The high-grade plastic material used for the screw has good mechanical properties like tensile strength, hardness and wear resistance which ensures a long-life span for the part. The thermoplastic material also helps to make the screw light in weight without compromising on the integral strength of the part. The screw is free from any burrs and sharp edges which enhances the safety aspect of the component. The screw possesses a high strength to weight ratio.
