Product Overview

The Float Stop O₂ SM FLTB Breathing Circuit Gas (BCG) is available in the flow tube kit. Along with the float stop the kit contains, filter, O-rings, spring and tube. A flowmeter consists of flow tube module and flow head module. The small and large flow tubes contain small and large float stops respectively. There are separate flow tube kits for O₂, N₂0, CO₂ and air, since they are calibrated to a specific tube and interchanging floats can cause incorrect readings. The float stop is suspended into the flow tube by a spring on the top. When oxygen is forced in between the tube and the float, a differential pressure is generated. The float stops at an area where the upward force caused by differential pressure and the downward force caused by the weight of the float have been equalized. The resulting display is the oxygen flow which is calibrated with the tube.
